The Austral Center for Genomic Technology (Centro Austral de Tecnología Genómica) is a research group affiliated with the University of Magallanes, aiming to contribute to the scientific community through a multidisciplinary team composed of professionals from the fields of health and computer science. By using bioinformatics tools and various laboratory techniques such as high-throughput sequencing, cATG strives to be a valuable asset in scientific research.
Scientific Research
Scientific research is one of the pillars of our team because it allows us to investigate problems in various fields and develop solutions that meet today's needs.
Bioinformatics
Through the use of bioinformatics tools and the development of applications we manage to find customized solutions for various biological problems, along with this the data analysis becomes much more efficient and assertive.
Laboratory work
Laboratory work is a fundamental pillar of our research team, covering various areas such as DNA extraction, third-generation sequencing techniques, and PCR, among others.
